The criteria for selecting an incubatee broadly rely on the following metrics. 

Metrics for selection: Business viability, success probability, commitment of founders, enormous value proposition.

The selection panel will be the final decision-makers on the suitability of the applicants.

At IIT Hyderabad, the chip design core group has taped out and characterized more than 15 chips in the areas of analog, mixed-signal and digital design. They have gone through design-tape out characterization cycles multiple times. They can mentor/ collaborate with the incubatee technically.

The key to success for a fabless design company lies in the availability of EDA tools, Prototyping facilities and Characterization facilities. Such facilities are expensive and FabCl will provide these facilities available to incubatee free of cost. Apart from this, mentoring in both technical and non-technical domains will be provided.

FabCl takes care of all the computational requirements of an incubatee apart from the incubation space. An incubatee would be provided access to the IIT-H library. FabCl will facilitate access to a different state of the art labs at IIT Hyderabad based on the request of the incubatee.

At IIT Hyderabad we have state of art tools for characterizing chips fabricated in all the domains viz. Analog, Mixed-Signal and RF Currently, we can characterize chips up to a frequency of 67 GHz.
